The Golden Stag Contestants Press Conference

The contestants press conference took place today in Brasov, at Centrul Cultural Reduta, near the Golden Stag stage. All the contestants were present in a very nice athmosphere, with not too many jouranalists, but enough to keep us entertained. The conference was moderated by Smaranda Vornicu, who is also the director of the festival, and a true pro on the matter.

The main topics were learning how to sing in the romanian language and how does it feel to play with a live orchestra behind you, a thing that you don’t fint often these days. Apart from that, a few inevitable eurovision related questions and the first impressions that the contestants have on Brasov.

A few interesting and funny facst we found out today at the press confrenece:

Olivier Kaye ( Belgium ) said that he enroled in this festival, because the first ever winner of The Golden Stag , Jacques Hustin, lived in a town near him and the parralel was pretty funny.

Kelly Joyce ( France ) was inspired to participate in the festival by Josephine Beker, to whom she wrote a special song, that she is going to perform in the contest on the first night.

Basti ( San Marino ) was inspired to participate by the fact that Christina Aguillera was a past contestant, and so he believes that this festival is a good way to start your career.

Ryan O’shaughnessy ( Ireland ) said the hardest thing he had to do this year, was to learn to sing in romanian language, and he chose to perform the song “ Noi ne potrivim” by Connect R.
